FoodFast is a lightweight app designed to quickly find the nearest points of edible interest. Great for when you’re walking around an unfamiliar place and hunger strikes. View a list of nearby places or see them on a map. Call or visit their website right from the app, or get navigation assistance if you need it. If you find a good place, tell your friends about it by sharing!

FoodFast uses several techniques to determine your location right away and stay updated with as little battery drain and as few needless background services as possible. Its behavior can be adjusted in settings.

Supports Android 2.1 and higher. Not optimized for tablets yet. Feature set is somewhat limited at this time. Feedback and feature requests are welcome!

Privacy:

FoodFast does not access or collect personal information about you or your device. Your geographical location is used only to search for places in your immediate area. FoodFast does not store location history; each new update replaces the previous one.

Explanation of permissions:

- Access Coarse Location, Access Fine Location -

Allows FoodFast to determine your location.

- Internet -

FoodFast uses Google to search for places near you. Other than your current location, no information about you or your device transmitted over the internet.

- Access Network State -

FoodFast checks your network state before trying to make any web connections.

- Receive Boot Completed -

FoodFast can start listening for passive location updates after your phone boots, if you allow it in settings.
