GreenForce (Wales) Limited is a privately owned company based in the United Kingdom. The company was set up in 2012 with the aim of creating and incubating ideas for eventual commercial development. FoodRater is the first of those commercial developments. As a frequent traveller and a food lover, I would have the same problem wherever I landed. I didn't know where to find my favourite foods e.g. burger, steak, fish and chips etc, so I decided to develop an app to solve the problem for me. Hence, FoodRater is now born. FoodRater provides a list of certain local restaurants that have all got one thing in common. They serve great food but are known for perhaps 2 or 3 special dishes. In FoodRater, this is known as the Food Type. So now with the creation of FoodRater I have a means of capturing details of retaurants that serve good food but I'm also able to be more specific and add what is best. So anyone can Add a Restaurant and then rate a food through the Add a Food screen. Over time the FoodRater app will be able to show people where to find the best burger, steak, curry and so on. There's also a way to save your favourites so you can go back to them one day. FoodRater is about local people and travellers sharing local knowledge for the wider benefit of all food lovers. Beyond the initial version it is my intention to listen to the feedabck from users and develop the app in such a way that continues to be a useful aid and a source of great food.
