This GPS application shows all the information coming from the GPS Device. It is great for developers new to GPS’s to get a feel for how a GPS operates. You can see the accuracy degrade as you go indoors and improve as you are in the open with open site lines to the satellites. It is interesting to see how the raw speed values pop around and take a while to settle after halting. Bearing (which is not a compass!) is accurate while moving (even at a walking pace) but after halting Bearing becomes random for a few seconds, and eventually becomes invalid.

All GPS information is displayed as text. There are also simple gadgets for the display of speed, bearing and accuracy. The motivation is to present all information ‘as-is’ without hiding anything behind any processing so the user can see what is really going on in the actual GPS device.
