The Girl Scout legacy began on March 12, 1912, when Juliette Gordon Low gathered a group of 18 girls together in Savannah, Georgia. To symbolically mark that start of our movement, Girl Scouts past and present will join hands on March 12, 2012, in ceremonial Promise Circles at hundreds of locations throughout the area. Together, we will recite the Girl Scout Promise and Law to honor the millions of girls whose lives have been changed through Girl Scouting.

If you were ever a Girl Scout or Brownie, be a girl again. Find a Promise Circle in your area and rekindle the feeling of being part of the large important movement of Girl Scouts you felt as a girl.
