Gaeilge Abú provides 10 very common words from the Irish (Gaeilge) language. For each word the app provides an English translation, a downloadable audio file of a man pronouncing the word, and downloadable audio file of a girl pronouncing the word, and an example sentence.

Audio files can be played directly from the Internet, or downloaded to your device to be played at any time. Downloaded audio files can be deleted at any time to free up disk space on your device.

To get started, swipe to the left or select the 'Index' tab, select a word, then press 'Play'.

In general, select an Irish word from the alphabetical list, which will take you to the Word Detail screen. From the Word Detail screen, you will see the Irish word in large letters, and the English translation or translations in italics. You can play the pronunciation from the Internet or download the pronunciation file to your device. Pronunciation files which have been downloaded can be deleted by pressing the 'Delete' button.

Older mobile devices will be able to play downloaded files, but they may not be able to play files directly from the internet. If you find that pronunciation files do not play directly from the Internet, please download pronunciation files before playing.
