Next Breakthrough is led by Gary Millspaugh, a non-profit CEO for 20 years, who is best known

in the Lehigh Valley for transforming an obscure homeless shelter into one of the most important and well-respected human service agencies in the region. Gary and his staff created “firsts” and “bests” in programs for jobs, housing, case management and addiction recovery. Through fund raising, the organization realized a 15-fold increase in net assets over 20 years, and 15 consecutive budget surpluses; stunning results among nonprofits. Among other accomplishments, Gary helped establish the first occupational medicine practice in the area, and led continuing education programs for a local college.
