A non genetic classification scheme for rocks.

I used the brilliant British Geological Survey’s rock scheme and cut it up with a bit of editing.

It contains a series of workflows to lead you to a well defined rock type with additional information on formation, field characteristics and associated minerals.

It also includes both triangle diagrams and charts. (you may need to rotate your phone to see these clearly)

I'm not a developer and I made this during my evenings when I am not working so don't expect too much.

I created this using app inventor and to be honest it could well be described as ugly, hopefully you will find it functional though.

I really hope you enjoy this and end up using this in the field.
