Learn to speak like a Geordie.

- Translate your English to Geordie (and vice versa). Over 200 words and phrases supported

- Upload your translations straight to your Facebook profile page or the Geordie Shore Facebook page (requires login to Facebook via Menu>Connect to Facebook)

- Send via SMS and receive Geordie SMS notifications (for SMS sent via the Geordie app on another device), which can open the Geordie app and display the text received, ready to translate back to English (available only on phones, not tablets)

- Flash cards and Geordie search feature

- Share text to and from the app

- Geordie 'Soonds', listen to the way we pronounce our words (mostly just for fun)

- 'Plyaces' tab, search for Geordie landmarks, Geordie Shore bars, pubs, restaurants and more (search by default in Newcastle Upon Tyne. To change to current location, go to Menu>Settings)

Please note:

Sending an SMS via the Geordie app will open your SMS application and add the tag "Sent via the Geordie app"; this will add extra characters to your SMS. To avoid extra charges from your network operator, you can disable this feature via Menu>Settings. Disabling this feature will also disable the SMS Notifications feature. The SMS Notification feature supports a message consisting of up to 4 SMS messages.

Google Places API subject to quota limit. If you experience any problems, in that place markers are not showing, please allow up to 24 hours for quota limit to refresh. This may occur if users request too many times per minute
