GoWords is an adorable iPad app designed for toddlers and young children. The app will teach children about words in seven different categories. The free version includes the colors section, you will have to purchase the full version in order to take advantage of the other categories. GoWords includes over 150 words, beautiful colorful images, high quality audio and animation that will keep your young one engaged while learning vocabulary. The app includes seven categories: colors, animals, numbers, objects, fruits, vegetables, and letters. GoWords was tested by a 17 months old baby, and given the happy smile of approval.The developers of this application made sure to create engaging animation and visual cues to help children tap the images and complete each task.Besided being a great app for teaching spoken words, the child is also exposed to how each word is written, giving a great foundation for reading and writing. As the child progresses to the higher levels, they are also practicing fine motor skills by tepping on each one of the images that keep on getting smaller by each level.GoWords is currently offering two languages: English and Portuguese.
