Golf Live wanted to make the event even more fun for our visitors this year so we created an app available on iOS. Golf Live is for amateur golfers to get up close and personal with some of the world’s best players and coaches in the theatres that are created on the golf course. It offers avid and regular golfers the opportunity to receive hints and tips that they can apply to their game whilst watching and learning from their idols. As well as the talent there is everything golf in one place with all the best manufacturers offering club trial and fitting sessions, browse the fashion and apparel zone to pick out the best in fairway fashion or search the destinations area for that perfect golfing break.The Golf Live App will run over three days from the 18th – 20th May 2012. Some of the key features of the Golf Live App will include:* A programme of what’s on for each day* Live notifications / reminders of what’s on and where so you won’t miss anything* A map so you can find your way around* Exclusive access to competitions with prizes from our sponsors & exhibitors* Live chat with celebrities and Live feedback to the event organisers* List of exhibitors* Upload photos for best picture of the day prize* Phone charging and WIFI because we don’t want you to worry about theseIn return we will ask you some questions throughout the day to see how you are enjoying Golf Live. We will also, with your permission, take your GPS location while you are at Golf Live. This information will help us better understand how our guests are moving about. The data we collect will really help us to improve Golf Live and will be used for market research purposes only.To better understand our App users we will ask you some profile information. These will be:- Name to be displayed on live chats- Your age & gender- Golf Handicap (if available, best guess if not)- Email address- Mobile phone (to let you know if you win a competition)- GPS location every 15 minutes for 6 hours on the day (please allow in the profile section, this is to learn more about crowd movement, however we could also use this to locate your phone, if you lose it)- Survey based data & verbatim comments
