Especially in passages that cannot be understood if the Hebraic mind set is not applied. The Word was written during a different time than our own. We need to travel back in time to capture what the story tellers were trying to portray in their writings. What were their customs, sayings, and culture? Without their essential details and more, we will draw a blank instead of drawing closer to our beloved Messiah.
