In 2012, local grain merchandising companies (Central Washington Grain Growers, Inc., AgVentures LLC, Davenport Union Warehouse Co., & Almira Farmers Warehouse Co. Ltd along Washington State's CW short-line railroad) began discussions to collaborate and combine their shipping programs. It was decided that the collective shipping volume of these companies warranted a combined shipment schedule to best serve each company's customers.
