The Hijri calendar is a lunar calendar, based on the motion of the Moon around the Earth. Conjunction is the event when the Sun, the Moon and the Earth align in a single plane in space. The day on which the conjunction occurs is the last day in a Hijri month. The next day is the first day of the next Hijri month. The app uses this method to compute future and past dates.
