The application contains an offline topographical map of Switzerland with existing hiking trails, peaks, elevation contours, tourist sites, and so on. The application can record your trek and then show it on the map, calculating the statistics and rendering the elevation profiles. Recorded trails are automatically exported to GPX format so you can easily transfer them into any computer. The map scale is 1 : 35,000.Application features:- shows your current position on the map- rotates the map according to device compass- searches locations on the map- shows current coordinates, elevation, and accuracy of GPS- records your track (also while running in background)- calculates your recorded track statistics (distance covered, duration, and elevation gain)- renders elevation profiles- exports your recorded track into GPX format, which are easily transferable to the computer using iTunes- turns off track recording automatically after predefined time (e.g. after 2hours)- turns off track recording automatically if battery level drops below predefined level- adjusts GPS accuracy (lower accuracy settings extend the battery life)Note: To activate the map rotation according to device compass tap the compass button two times (first tap scrolls the map to the current position).The map in this application was generated using data from the OpenStreetMaps project.
