Though it may seem that this is more applicable to the world of children, addressing work issues by “painting” scenarios of real life successes through stories has been known to be very effective. Instead of cramming rules down their throats, use positive praise when you catch people or yourself doing something you like.

Don't use one person's undesirable behavior as an example of how not to act. Instead, redirect the attention to someone who is completing good habits and tasks.
