How to remove scratches from any CD or DVD Disc

While compact discs (CDs) and DVDs are remarkably durable, it can be impossible to prevent scratches and scuffs from occurring from time to time, especially with frequent use. The resulting damage to a CD or DVD can mean either a skip in a music track or the loss of a document.
