Based on hugtrain.org's free hugs movement, HugTrain is an app that connects you with friends and neighbors that are nearby in order to exchange a hug.

The app allows the user to activate a 1-hour "HugTrain" which lets people nearby know that the user is readily available to give or get a hug! Users interact through the app by messaging each other.

Studies show that we require 8 hugs a day to attain complete emotional wellness. HugTrain's mission is to offer a different perspective on the world by facilitating the exchange of hugs and mental health support using technology.
