An armada of ships is moving relentlessly towards your home planet. You wonder briefly if they might be on a mission of peace, but decide that ‘armada’ and ‘relentlessly’ are rarely positive adjectives. These aliens mean to enslave the population and they’ll probably ban rainbows and puppies too. So unless you’re into that it’s time to suit up.

HyperType is a typing game in which you type as quickly as possible to destroy ships that contain words of between 3 to 7 letters. The goal is to type those words before the ships make it to the other side of the screen. You start the game with 3 lives, and each time a ship reaches the left side of the screen, you lose a life. When you have no lives left the game is over. There are 10 ships per level, with an unlimited number of levels. A ship’s speed increases the higher the level. The game supports both portrait and landscape modes, as well as software and hardware keyboards. However, you must set these from the options screen prior to starting the game.
