The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is one of the most popular types of Terrier breed.
Terriers were originally bred for hunting rats and small vermin and are very hardy dogs. The Latin word “Terra” which is where Terrier comes from, means earth, which is exactly where you would find the badgers, rats and foxes that Terriers naturally pursue.
Terriers are also a very ancient breed, and can be seen in paintings from many hundreds of years ago and also feature in very old books.
