Attending a conference as large as INFOCOM, with around 500 talks, posters and demos, organized in over 100 technical sessions in the main program and 12 workshops, is often a daunting experience. You may find yourself wondering where to go! To help you find your favourite sessions, the INFOCOM app allows you to:* Add a session or a talk to your favourites, by swiping it to the left* Review more details, including the speaker and the abstract, about any of the talks* Search through the entire technical program, by searching in session titles, talk titles, abstracts, or author (speaker) names* As-you-type search with search results updating in real-time* Limit the scope of your search queries to a particular day* Browse through only a subset of the technical tracksEver wished for a reminder before an interesting talk? In addition to the features above, you can also schedule reminder notifications for up to 64 talks in the conference. When a reminder arrives, you may swipe it to the left in the Notification Center or the lock screen, and press "Snooze" to reschedule it to five minutes later.A hidden treasure in the app: You can now download and read any of the papers in the entire INFOCOM proceedings — including all the workshops — right within the app! When viewing details related to a talk, scroll to the bottom and touch "Read More". Better yet, once you have downloaded a paper, it will be cached for your future offline reading pleasure.The app includes maps of the conference venue, so that you can navigate to the rooms of your favourite talks. If you allow push notifications, whenever there is a piece of late-breaking news about the conference, you will be among the first to know.Since conference venues often have poor Internet connections, as soon as the app has a chance to download the technical program for the first time, it works equally well offline without connecting to the network. When there are no updates, the app does not connect to the network, conserving its energy use. Whenever there are new updates to sessions, talks, and breaking news, the app will be silently notified via push notifications, and it will be able to automatically download these updates in the background.We respect your privacy: your favourites will never leave your iPhone and will not be synchronized to the cloud. You do not need to log in to any social networking website in order to use the app. It is simple, private, and fast to use.
