Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a process for sustaining healthylandscapes that uses a combination of techniques to suppress pests in aneffective, economical, and environmentally sound manner.Ontario's cosmetic pesticides ban, Ontario Regulation 63/09, took effectApril 22, 2009. In order to continue using pesticides in their maintenanceoperations, the owner or operator of a golf course must ensure that the golfcourse is accredited by an approved integrated pest management body by April22, 2012. Accreditation is granted to golf courses by the IPM Council ofCanada and consists of an accreditation examination, desk reviews, on-siteaudits, and continuing education credits.IPM Scout is an application for golf course superintendents to use in thefield to gather pest scouting data for easy integration with KeystoneComputer Resources IPM Notebook software.
