A final version is scheduled for release in June, 2013.About “Scenes in and around Kyoto, Funaki version”:This master artwork was created by Matabe Iwasa, known as the “Founder of Ukiyo-e prints,” in early Edo era, or 17th century, Japan. This artwork is composed of a pair of six-panel folding screens. Each screen measures 1.6 meters by 3.4 meters. Together, they provide a panoramic view of the ancient Kyoto, in stunning detail. Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Sanjusangendo Temple and Kiyomizu Temple – important cultural sites then and now – are among the many structures and locations richly portrayed.
