The Intoximaze app allows users to view information on alcohol poisoning and over-consumption of alcohol via their mobile device.

Using “touch” interface, the users will learn about consequences of intoxication in a gaming environment. Users will also be able to link to their Facebook pages to post high scores.

To play “Intoximaze,” players must trace or draw a continuous line through a maze without touching its sides. Players have a limited amount of time to complete the task and touching the edges of the maze or drawing outside the maze incurs a time penalty. If the player completes a maze, any remaining time contributes to the overall score and they get to advance to the next maze. If the player runs out of time before completing a maze, the game is over. The mazes get more complicated, and the time given to complete them decreases.

Alcohol Poisoning Content - While playing the game, players will learn about different stages of intoxication, up to and including alcohol poisoning. The app allows users to skip the “game play” and go directly to that information.

Single-Player and Multiplayer Modes - The app operates as a single or multiplayer game. Up to four players can compete against each other on a same device.

Facebook Connectivity - Users can post their high scores on their Facebook page. In an effort to introduce the app to a wider audience, this allows for (viral distribution) by other users.

The Sobriety Check - The app also tracks failed attempts at completing the maze and will suggest that they should consider calling a cab or asking a friend for a ride home if they have been drinking.
