KeyLink is an organizational app for passwords. The recent HeartBleed attack has shown the importance of keeping different, unique passwords that are refreshed regularly in order to prevent personal attacks including identity theft. One of the largest (and most frustrating) problems with this necessity, however, is that people often quickly forget their new passwords. These passwords should not be stored anywhere directly, encrypted or not, due to possible breaches in storage
KeyLink is an organizer that stores password hints without compromising security. People often create passwords that they have a connection with and will remember if given a clue. This is what KeyLink does - allows you to store clues that are quickly accessible by company or website name. Now users can recall their passwords without compromising their security. It is strongly recommended to not make the clue the password itself.
Here's an example. Let us say I just created an account for Amazon and I spontaneously think of the password "3F1uffyCows5", Then, I create a new KeyLink entry with company name "Amazon" and hint "3n.Pi11ow Plura1MilkIndia+2". While it is easy for me to make a connection from the hint to password, hackers would have an extremely difficult time even if they know my clue.
