Kirby is a Windows Phone client for App.net. Kirby has a clean user interface, makes efficient use of your bandwidth and will intelligently load posts in the background.

Version 1.4 adds support for push notifications and a live tile. You can choose the notifications you want pushed to your phone; replies, mentions, follows, reposts and stars. If you have multiple accounts, then you can set this preference for each one.

Notifications are typically delivered within a few seconds of the event happening. The live tile will display the number of notifications since the last time you ran Kirby.

The live tile supports all 3 sizes. If you choose the large tile, then it will also display the last three notifications.

Kirby can also be selected in Windows Phone lock screen settings - for both quick status and detailed status. As you would expect, quick status just shows the number of notifications whilst detailed status also shows the last three notifications.

The trial version does not expire and is fully functional except that it does not allow you to create new posts.

Fixed an issue where Kirby would not remember your exact stream position between runs.

Fixed an issue when running on Windows Phone 8.1: Error when a push notification is received whilst Kirby is running in the foreground.
