What people don't realize is that the LED in a lot of these devices are able to change colors! Too bad that these devices lack the option to customize the LED. Usually, you'll get a green blinking light for missed calls, and it blinks once every 10 seconds, making it rather impractical and unhelpful. It has been tested and confirmed to work on Samsung Galaxy S5 and LG G3. It should also work on various other devices that support multi-color LED light, such as Samsung Note 2, 3, Galaxy S4, & Nexus 5, (though I have not personally tested these myself because I do not own these devices).
