Lafayette UC is the softphone used to take advantage of the advanced collaborative features of Lafayette College's Unified Communications platform. It supports voice and video calls, chat, presence and integration with the campus directory.

Any Lafayette College Student, Faculty, or Staff member with a UC account may install this app for free, Login with a Network ID, and and use it to make calls over WiFi; cellular service works too but is not required. The phone number associated after you login with your Network ID will be your Lafayette extension; e.g. 610-330-xxxx. In a sense, your mobile phone will become your deskphone while this app is running.

Unified Communications (UC) is a production service offered by ITS, but not all of the Lafayette community has been migrated to it yet. Unless you have been migrated to UC, you will not be able to use this app. ITS plans to have all users of the current telephone system (those with 610-330-xxxx numbers) migrated to UC before 2016. If you wish to be migrated early, then please contact the ITS Help Desk (help@lafayette.edu).
