LAMP, a technical architectural lighting company, is launching ‘Lamp Tools’, a new app for smartphones and tablets. This free app includes a digital notebook called Lighting Notes.

The aim of Lighting Notes is to make lighting designers, architects, interior designers, installers and landscapers’ work on site faster and easier.

With this app, users can take photos of the place, or import photos or plans from an album, in order to take notes on the photo:

- Measures: insert numerical measurements taken beforehand

- Notes: write any kind of text

- Light: select the type of lighting required for the site (direct lighting, indirect, asymmetric, ambient, spot, etc.)

- Luminaire: choose the type of luminaire desired (recessed, suspended, surface mounted...)

Furthermore, Lighting Notes enables users to save the information as layers, and once the process is completed, they can save the photo on their device in order to use it, download it or send it by e-mail.
