If you read one thing, read this: our app is designed to work with the Sweet Spot Lens for Mobile (a.k.a, LM-10), a magnetically attaching lens for your Android mobile phone from Lensbaby, Inc. This lens creates optical depth of field effects on your mobile phone, similar to those possible on a DSLR camera.

This app will work on most phones but with the large number of Android phones out there, we have not been able to test the app on every device in existence so results may vary slightly.

Why do I need to use this app?

Your images and videos will come out upside down in other photo apps.

Your sweet spot of focus will be stuck in the center of your image with other photo apps.

Using our app flips your image right-side up and lets you move the sweet spot anywhere in the image to match your areas of focus and blur to your preferred composition.

How to Use

After mounting your LM-10 lens to your mobile phone when in the Lensbaby app, double-tap anywhere within the image area to select centered sweet spot mode.

Point your phone at a light-colored monochrome surface like a wall, or the floor. It may not be exciting, but it’s a very effective way to see if the lens is centered or not.

If any of the four corners are darker than the other three, slide the lens up/down/left/right until all four corners have a similar brightness.

If the lens is off-center, the sweet spot of focus will be soft and the image will vignette (one or two corners will fade to black).

After positioning the lens so that the vignette or lack thereof is equal on all four corners. your sweet spot is now as sharp as it can possibly be and you are ready to rock the world of creative mobile photography with your Lensbaby.
