This app is able to calculate the approximate distance of lightning from your current location via timing. Just press the first button when you see the lightning, and the second when you hear the thunder. A second screen will then come up showing you the distance, and present you with options to show the distance on a map and copy it to the clip-board so you can paste the distance in another app.
