Loan Aide can help you get a better understanding of your loan details. You enter a loan amount, loan rate, monthly repayment and a month number, and it shows how interest and principal payments are calculated for the specified month. In addition it shows the total interest and total principal payments made up to the specified month. It also allows you to email the calculation details. Please note that Loan Aide can only handle periods for up 2 months. If you wish to calculate for longer periods, please buy a premium version that is called Loan Aide+, which can calculate for periods up to 50 years (600 months).

For instance, you enter 10000 into the Loan Amount field, 12 into the Loan Rate field, 3000 into the Monthly Repayment field and 2 into the Month Number field, and click Show button.

Loan Aide tells you that in month 2 your loan details and payments will be as follows:

Loan amount at month start, $:

98000.00

Interest payment, $:

98000.00 * (12% / 12) = 980.00

Principal payment, $:

3000 - 980.00 = 2020.00

Loan amount after monthly payment, $:

98000.00 - 2020.00 = 95980.00

Loan Aide also tells you how much interest and principal payments you will have made in total from month 1 to month 2:

Total Interest Payment, $:

1980.00

Total Principal Payment, $:

4020.00

In addition Loan Aide shows the calculation details for the months leading to the specified month.

You can email calculation details by clicking on the Email button. It will open a default email on your phone, or prompt you to choose one if you have more than one email (e.g. Hotmail and Google Mail). Loan Aide writes calculation details and specifies the subject so you just need to type in the recepient's email address and send it as you usually do with any other email.
