Usage of the application is fairly simple...

Tap to edit amount. Right swipe to make notes about the transactions. Left Swipe for history of transactions. Long press to edit colors, update name, delete entry, clear amount of the account in question.

Positive amount in the amount field indicates that you are in vantage position of receiving cash. Negative amount means you are indebted to the person. But then, conventions are always flexible....make your own.
