Long Term Cost computes the cost of a payment or recurring expense over the long term. The payment or recurring cost can be something as large as a mortgage payment or as small as your daily cup of gourmet coffee. The Long Term Cost looks at what would happen if you invested that money, how, much would you have in 10 or 20 years.

To use

Enter your payment amount or recurring expense

Enter how often you may the payment or pay the recurring expense.

Enter how long you must make the payment or plan on paying the recurring expense.

Enter the rate of return you expect on your investments.

Enter the number of years you are going to leave your money in the investments.

Once you press return in any of the fields, Long Term Cost will recomputed the amount that you will end up with. That amount will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

**This cost is approximate. Interest is only calculated monthly not continuously. In addition, other mathematical simplification have been made.
