This app enables you to use your phone's camera as a motion detector.

Detections can be viewed on another phone or on dropbox.

This is an alpha (proof of concept) release.

If we receive positive feedback we will continue the development of this app and add new features such as audio, live stream, additional configuration, console in background, performance, vibration/sound alerts, other cloud services, etc.

All data communication is done through dropbox.

Logon is done directly on the dropbox app or web site. This app cannot access your dropbox logon data.

If you do not have a dropbox account you can create one for free.

Files are stored on your private dropbox account.

This app can only access the app folder on dropbox. It has no access to other folders.

This app consists of 2 parts:

* A camera to detect motion and store video files to dropbox

* A console to monitor the status of the camera and view the recordings.

Features:

* Supports multiple cameras and consoles.

* Shows camera status: power status, connection (no connection == red icon)

* Camera flash support: flash is turned on automatically. Flash blinks, to avoid power drain and damage, in sync with the video recording.

* Set image rotation

* Enhanced detection algorithm

* Adapts frame rate to device performance

Usage:

on the Camera device:

* Start App

* Click camera button

* If required you will be forwarded to dropbox for registration/logon.

On Console device:

* Start the app

* Click console button

* If required you will be forwarded to dropbox for registration/logon.

** Long click on a camera device entry: display the camera context menue: flash on/off, set recording rotation, delete all

** Long click on a video entry: display the video context menue: delete file

** Simple click on video entry: download the video and invoke the video player

Known issues:

video cannot be played on android 2.2 and lower.

camera delete is slow
