The app includes almost 300 sites related to around 150 different novelists, poets and playwrights. Coloured pins indicate an author’s era: early, Georgian, Victorian and modern – as well as sites associated with multiple authors. You can view all the sites at once if you like, or you can scroll through the list of authors to show only sites associated with a particular writer. Sites displayed include the addresses associated with William Shakespeare, the homes where Jane Austen lived during her extended stays in London, Charles Dickens’ many residences, the sites associated with the members of the Bloomsbury Group, as well as the graves of the Victorian authors Anthony Trollope, George Eliot and William Makepeace Thackeray.
