The Marconi Stallions Football Club is an Australian football club located in Sydney, Australia.
The club was formerly known as Marconi Fairfield; the name comes from Guglielmo Marconi, the Italian inventor of the radio, and Fairfield (New South Wales), the city in which the club plays. The club was founded in 1958 by an Italian social club called Club Marconi, and was primarily backed and supported by Italians and Italian-Australians living in Sydney. However, the club and team have since established themselves as one of the top sports and social clubs in the Western Sydney / Fairfield area. This has seen the team gain recognition as one of Australia's top football entities, with one of the highest rated youth academies in Australian football, and a support that has grown well beyond the Italian community in Sydney.
Fast forward to today and the club continues to prosper both on and off the field and looks set to do so for many years to come.
With the continued growth of the club, the committee knew it was the right time to look at alternative options that will allow them to communicate better with their players, members, supporters and sponsors.
With a dynamic committee ensuring the club is well run off the field, the committee spent a significant amount of time looking at various options which would enable them to engage and communicate with their players, members, supporters and sponsors.
After a lengthy process and assessing all of their options the Marconi Stallions Football Club is pleased to announce the release of their very first ever native mobile phone app for Android!
The release of the app is a fantastic step forward for the club in to the world of apps and they have no doubt the app will be a huge success!
