MicroWords is based on "The Dolch Word List", which is a list of frequently used words compiled by Edward William Dolch, PhD. This program will help your kids to learn commonly used words and achieve reading fluency in English.
Your child will experience an interactive learning experience which allows him/her to learn basic letter sounds and along with it complete a mini word puzzle that are based on a sight word which when completed reinforces the sight word or alphabet / number by way of visual and audio cues. If there's a word that you child has not mastered, you can add it to the "Flagged Words" list to keep try of the ones that need special attention.
The PAID version of the application includes the following categories/levels:
General Levels:
- Alphabets (A to Z)
- Numbers (1 to 20)
Sight Words Levels:
- Level 1 (Pre-Primer , 40 Words)
- Level 2 (Primer, 52 Words)
The PAID version also provides customizable settings to control how flash cards order , sounds etc. in addition to a "CHALLENGE" mode which can be used to test your child's mastery over a particular set of words.
The TRIAL version of the application includes the "Alphabets" , "Numbers" and a selection of 20 sight words from Sight Words Levels 1 and 2.
More levels will be added in a fairly regular manner to keep your child's learning and your investment in the application safe guarded.
