You can use the LED for a persistent light, as with a flashlight, or you can use it as a strobe, with a varying frequency - from very fast to a slow-blinking light.

You can also send morse code with this app, either with the LED or with a tone, or both at the same time. You can vary the frequency of the morse code as well.

Unlike many other flashlight apps, this app doesn't interrupt your iPod (unless you use sound to send morse code).

As a beginner, you might want to use a low frequency to easily count the dots and dashes, but as you get better at translating the morse code to natural language, you can raise the frequency to send messages faster. Practice with this app, and compete with your friends!

NOTE: This app requires an iPhone 4 with the LED flashlight built-in. Continued use of the flash may dramatically decrease battery life. Also, exposure to a strobe light may cause seizures in individuals suffering from photosensitive epilepsy. Use it responsibly.
