My Hometown Sports is entering its eighth year of local sports coverage in the Utica/Rome, Mohawk Valley area of Upstate New York. My Hometown Sports uses a multi-media approach to cover and report on youth, high school and local college sports. We offer fans four options: Newspaper, newly updated website, radio show on ESPN U/R 99.1FM, and with our full-feature mobile app, to celebrate local sports!Along with broadcast coverage of local high school football, basketball and hockey, we are also the exclusive radio home, and voice of Utica College Pioneers Sports.Last year we added streaming broadcasts of Morrisville State Mustangs college sports to our family, and have enjoyed a great relationship with the school, athletes and fans.New this year, is the formation of the Rome Free Academy Black Knights High School sports broadcast network.My Hometown Sports now has a partnership with WKAL Talk Radio AM 1450 in Rome to broadcast RFA games on the air and also to provide web streaming. Fans can also access our broadcasts on this mobile app.Our newly updated app will allow fans to follow their favorite teams with the latest technology and will just continue to help expand our reach and coverage to local sports fans.We also pledge to provide positive coverage of local sports to help build the self-esteem of young athletes and to salute the coaches who help them grow as students, athletes and members of their communities.
