NILS was founded in the mid September of 1999 by dorm-high school mate: Jackson (vocals, guitar), Dennis (bass), and Ian (drums) with the genre of Punk / Grunge / Rock

In 2002, after NILS were dissolved by itself, Ian (drummer turned to guitar, vocals) formed a band under the name NIGHTMARE with college mate. They are Kermit (guitar), Benny (bass), and Bowo (drums). And, like before, series of exhausting changes are happening in NIGHTMARE until eventually the name landed on NILS again. By now, NILS have performed on a lot of events in Yogyakarta and Solo. We've played on several university musical events as well as played on various gigs, including our radio gig on Istakalisa FM.

Over the years, after series of exhausting changes and the band being absent for quite some time, when being restarted, NILS are Ian (vocals, guitar), Beni (guitar), Rito (bass) and Mike (drums). Together, they went into the studio and recorded the songs which became the band's demo from here on out. Currently, NILS are Ian (vocals, guitar), Darm (guitar), Setya (bass) and Lugas (drums).

Hopefully, we can enrich Indonesian music but we will REALLY rock Indonesia!
