NewsTiles is a free, sexy and fast news application (from bing). And yes you you can have live tiles, wich refresh every 30 minutes (but you can choose the timer of the downloads of the news in the parameters...), you can chosse the color of the news category (and so, the live tile).
Don't care about the french text of the screen this is cause of my geolocalisation....
