NewsTreemap is an innovative press releases application based on the concept of TreeMap. All news, coming from Google News aggregator are shown in clustered rectangles with different colors (category) and different sizes (importance).

The rectangle's color shows the category (i.e. politics, sport, etc.) while the size shows the importance of the news as the number of articles related to that news published on the newspaper.

Finally, the color brightness indicates the age of the news: darker is the color older is the news.
