This is not a full SMS app, nor can it be (due to the restrictions existent in the Nexus 7 series), it's a workaround so you can send SMS using the SIM card in the Nexus 7 series

As you probably noticed, on the Nexus 7 edition, you can't send/receive SMS messages, hindering the ability for many to subscribe/change options on various prepay providers.

You can now finally send SMS messages from your Nexus7 tablet! (as long as it has a SIM)

No root access required, just stock Android.

Limitations:

• can't view incoming messages, only a one-time popup will be shown

Permissions required:

• send SMS: obvious

• read contacts: to choose a phone number from the contact list/search

• read phone state: needed because of android bug #81758

Known to work on:

• Nexus 7 LTE (2013)

• Nexus 7 3G (2012) (thanks Emad Zolqadr)
