Number System Converter lets you convert any number from binary, decimal, octal or hexadecimal format to any of the above mentioned forms. It is a handy tool for students studying computer science and can be used for the above mentioned purpose. The app has a calculator like interface which provides a good user experience and its simplicity and mostly self-explanatory UI helps give you the most user friendly interface.

*How to enter a number:

To enter a number, just press the button with the number written on it. To enter characters for hexadecimal numbers, press the button labelled "ABC" in the left corner and you will be presented with alphabetical keypad. To return to the numeric keypad, press the "123" button which is also present on the right corner. To erase a single letter, press "Clr" button. To erase the whole number, long press the "Clr" button.

Note: Due to limitations imposed by Java language, there is a limit imposed on the length of the number you can enter, but this limit is way too large for most of the common operations.

*Specifying base for input:

To specify a base for the input, choose the desired base from the blue panel at the top of the keypad. The blue panel is hidden to display ads, so may have to click on the upward pointing white arrow to display it. You must CLICK on the white arrow, not swipe.

The default base is decimal(base 10).

We have implemented a smart base chooser, so you need not choose the base again and again. The output is automatically converted into the corresponding base

Note: You must choose the desired base BEFORE you input the number

*Converting the number:

Now we come to the task this app was made for, converting the number. After you have entered the number in the desired base, just tap the dark grey buttons on the right side of the numpad to get your number converted in the corresponding base. It's as simple as that!!
