The OHS Alberta App contains a powerful search engine that allows workers to access important safety information, quickly, easily and with confidence.

Did you know that employers in Alberta are required at law to make Occupational Health and Safety (“OHS”) legislation readily available to workers in a paper or electronic form? Did you know it’s an offence for employers not to make that legislation readily available to workers?

This App provides a solution for employers and workers by allowing immediate mobile access to Alberta OHS legislation including the OHS Act, OHS Regulation, OHS Code 2009, and the OHS Explanation Guide 2009. This includes all charts, schedules and diagrams.

The App allows the worker to access this information whether the worker has cell coverage or not. The App is easy to use, fast and specifically designed for easy reading on cell phone screens. If the worker can do a “google search” then the worker can use this App without any specialized training or working familiarity with OHS legislation.

The worker can access this important safety information any time and from any location. The worker simply types in a key word or phrase and the App immediately takes the worker to every reference where the word or phrase is contained in the OHS legislation or Explanation Guide 2009. The App finds the information for the worker. The worker can then review the references, bookmark important sections for future reference, or review historical searches for even faster access.
