READ_PHONE_STATE

: Is only used to stop the playback if you get a call. (sadly needed, see

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE

: Is used to determine if you have Internet or if you are on e.g roaming.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

: Is used to determine if you have WiFi or not and to prevent that WiFi accidently shuts off.

WAKE_LOCK

: To prevent that your phone go to sleep mode and the stream start stuttering.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

: Is needed to write the backup files to your sdcard.
