During the spring of 2013, four 11th grade students from Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy participated in a 3-week internship with Uplift, Inc.

They wanted to create an app that would give Chavez students a voice regarding what might and could happen in their schools and classrooms.

The 'Our Voice Chavez' Suggestion Box app resulted.

This app is a digital suggestion box was designed with the students of Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools for Public Policy (Capitol Hill Campus) in mind to help voice their opinions and be heard. It can be used to make suggestions to the school make a change. Suggestions are sent to school officials, or whomever you indicate, who will make note of your suggestion and possibly implement your suggestion.

However, not only can Chavez students send suggestions to their teachers and administrators, but you can also use it to send suggestions to anyone you'd like.

You can choose to send it anonymously or not. It's up to you. Either way, you can let your voice be heard!

This app was created by Aaron White, Bernadette Ingram, Jovan Dupree, and Pamela Young, four 11th grade students (rising seniors) from the Cesar Chavez Public Charter High School. These four students were Chavez Fellows for the 2012-2013 school year. These fellows were sponsored by Uplift, Inc.
