Here at PERRLA, we’re big fans of the Pomodoro Technique for time management.

In fact, we’re such big fans that we’ve created this free app for our friends to use when practicing the principles of this productivity-boosting technique.

For fun, we’ve included “themes” featuring some of the colorful characters that PERRLA has created for the amusement of our customers. A ticking clock (optional) and some verbal encouragement from our characters (optional) can help you stay focused and bring a smile to your stressed-out face.

The basic principals of the Pomodoro Technique are:

1. Set a timer for 25 minutes and commit to working without distractions during this work interval.

2. Work, resisting all temptation to check your mail, facebook, etc., knowing that you can do those things very soon.

3. When the timer signals the end of the work interval, take a 5 minute break to do whatever you need to do.

4. Repeat.

It’s that easy. But, you’d be surprised how much you can get done when you don’t allow yourself to become distracted during your work intervals!
