What does the Peacekeeper app do?

The app is a tool that gives individuals, families, and neighborhoods/hyper-local emergency response groups a way to establish connections so they can send and receive alerts to each other at the press of a button in time of emergency.

**Please note: Setting up your Peacekeeper network is simple and fun, but we recommend adding people you know, trust, and willing to come to your aid and visa versa in an emergency situation.

Peacekeeper operations of the app include:

- Start or join an existing Emergency Response Group, or connect on an individual basis by establishing Alliances with friends, family, and neighbors -- or ask professionals to be in your network.

- Send an alert. Sent alerts include all relevant information including your picture, name, address, and the type of emergency.

- Receive an alert that includes all relevant information about the senders' emergency.

- During an alert, responders can utilize the "On it" function to assure alert senders and other responders that help is on the way.

- Manage your Alliances and ERGs you are a member of.

Currently, to establish a connection with another user or group, users will have to know the exact name of the group and the exact city and name of another user. Once added, the user can manage their connections on the "Manage Users" page in the app.

Peacekeeper's goal is to help families and individuals connect over the thing we believe matters most: The safety of you and the people you're closest with. We believe that helping one another in a situation that requires immediate action is something we are all capable of. This is why we built Peacekeeper, and continue to improve the app and the idea.
