This app has been designed to help you develop your sense of Absolute and Relative Pitch. You can start by playing the reference tone which is set to middle C or C4. Playing this tone is optional and it can be replayed at any time. But the more times you have to use it the weaker your sense of pitch is. You can then generate a random tone. After listening to this you can try to guess its pitch.

While you are making your guess the app will keep a record of your percentage of correct guesses. The higher your percentage, the better your sense of pitch. You can adjust the level of difficulty. In Simple mode, the app will select a tone from C4 to C5 ignoring sharps/flats. In Extended mode the range is extended from G3 to A5, the normal range for a tenor. If the Sharps/Flats checkbox is ticked, then sharp/flat tones in the Extended or Simple range are available, and guessing the pitch is much more difficult.

•Simple mode: 8 notes are available between C4 and C5

•Extended mode: 16 notes are available between G3 and A5

•Sharps/Flats in Simple mode: 13 notes are available between C4 and C5

•Sharps/Flats in Extended mode: 27 notes are available between G3 and A5
